NVZ Designation – transitional arrangements for newly designated land

DEFRA has published guidance on transitional arrangements for land which has been newly designated as an NVZ with effect from 31st December 2016.
It explains that NVZ rules do not apply immediately – a transitional period applies in order to allow time for farmers to adjust farm practices where necessary. Some rules will apply to newly designated land from 1st January 2018 and others will apply from 31st July 2019.
